Finding peace and comfort after a loved one has passed is the burden left with the living. Looking for answers where sometimes there are none. The unknown is met, acknowledged, then one finds a way forward. When surrounded by family one can find it easier to cope. Stories are shared and often they bring laughter that can break the mood.

The following are a series of photos I took as I met the unknown and looked for peace after my grandmother Lucy passed away. She meant a lot to a lot of people and I take pride in knowing that.
